Clayton Barr, MP, State Member for the Electorate of Cessnock advises the following applicants were successful in receiving funding from the Cessnock Electorate’s $400,000 Community Building Partnership funding allocation for 2014, with recipients only recently being announced:

Cessnock City Council – Birralee Park Amenities replacement – $132,298.00

Lodge Paxton – Kitchen Update – $16,000.00

Branxton RSL Sub-Branch – Update to ageing Hall – $34,354.00

Hunter Care Ltd – Security and Safety Upgrades for the Hunter Life Education Centre – $4,467.00

Cessnock Tennis Club Inc – Replacement of one light pole and three light control switches – $13,000.00

Kurri Kurri Speedway Club Inc – New Amenities Blocks – $8,000.00

Branxton District Netball Club – Construction Netball Courts at Miller Park, Branxton – $20,000.00

Cessnock District Netball Association – Cessnock Netball – Solar System – $17,600.00

Cessnock Croquet Club Inc – Establishing a new Croquet Club in existing neglected community infrastructure – $4,874.00

Lake Macquarie Live Steam and Locomotive Society – Tarmacing an access road for visitors – $50,000.00

Mount Sugarloaf Pony Club – Establish Beginners Yard – $23,800.00

Harry Meyn Foundation Ltd – Harry Meyn Foundation office fit out – $30,000.00

Kearsley Public School P&C Association – Canteen kitchen upgrade Kearsley Public School – $16,440.00

Trustees of Church Property for the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle – Refurbishment of Church Hall – Christ Church Mount Vincent – $5,500.00

Weston Community Preschool Inc – Flag pole – $880.00

Masonic Holdings Limited Kurri Kurri – Building Maintenance of Weston Masonic Centre – $22,787.00
