I’ve fought hard to get Cessnock Hospital the investment it deserves.
The Minns Labor Government is now getting on with the $138 million redevelopment of our hospital. It’s something our community has fought for, and I’m proud to have fought alongside you.
But there’s more to do.
If your child breaks an arm playing footy, has a bad fall at the playground or gets seriously sick in the middle of the night, you should be able to take them to your local hospital and know there’s a doctor there to see them.
You shouldn’t have to drive to Maitland or Newcastle to get the help your family needs.
We need doctors in the Emergency Department at Cessnock Hospital, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Cessnock is growing. Our hospital needs to keep up.
