Latest News

The State Electorate of Cessnock has secured $400,000 in funding for a total of 20 projects through the NSW Government’s 2022 Community Building Partnership Program.

The Community Building Partnership Program was established in 2009 by the then Labor Government and has provided funding for more than 18,000 community projects across NSW to build or upgrade local facilities.

State Member for the Electorate of Cessnock, Clayton Barr, MP said the State Government funds will deliver much-needed improvements to local facilities including air conditioning, playground equipment, a shade sail, a food trailer and an outdoor kitchen. See attached list containing full details of the projects that have been funded.

“It is always great to see funding being injected into our community. Seeing our local community groups and organisations completing the projects funded by the Community Building Partnership Program is always a highlight.” Mr Barr said.

“I congratulate all the organisations that were successful in their application and look forward to seeing how these projects make a real difference for community groups in the area.”

Applications for the 2023 Program open in May 2023.
