Mr CLAYTON BARR (Cessnock): Congratulations to Cessnock Electorate’s Hidden Treasures 2025. Four outstanding local women have been named – Bethany Dwyer from Cessnock, Mellissa Gibson from Stonebridge Cessnock, Sabine Jamieson from Mount Vincent and Elizabeth Riley from Nulkaba. These women contribute their time to many varying causes to help others in our community. They are all employed either full-time, part-time or retired. Collectively, they volunteer in areas such as sport- netball and soccer, Rural Fire Service, Rotary, hospital patient visits, Riding for the Disabled, fundraising, cultural, Landcare and education. None of the recipients seek or have sought recognition for their contributions to our community, yet each woman deserves to be acknowledged and lauded for their efforts.
