Mr CLAYTON BARR (Cessnock): Congratulations to Cessnock Electorate’s Brodee Sunerton for her second selection in an Australian flag football team, this time to play in the Junior International Flag Football Cup in California USA. Brodee’s Under17’s team won the National Flag Football Championship back in March from where she was selected to represent her country. Brodee travels to Sydney for training where she trains with the senior team which Brodee says improves her skills. Brodee and her family, like so many other families, show incredible commitment in time and money to help the athlete realise their dreams. Dad Peter and Mum Kiona are justifiably incredibly proud of not just Brodee’s results but her commitment to her chosen sport.
