Mr CLAYTON BARR (Cessnock): Congratulations to Abermain Rams Football Club for being named as a finalist in the 2026 Sport NSW Community Sports Awards – Community Club of the Year. The Rams are 1 of 7 teams named for the award with the winner being announced on 29 June 2026 at Bankstown Sports Club. The award is a recognition for the hard work and dedication shown by the committee, community volunteers, managers, coaches, referees and players. Since 2024, many upgrades have been done at the football facility in conjunction with key stakeholders such as Cessnock City Council, Hunter valley Football Association and Northern NSW Football. Various grants have contributed to the upgrades from sources such as Cessnock City Council, NSW Office of Sport, Glencore Junior Sports Grant and Australian Government Volunteer Grant. The club prides itself on a strong, family-oriented culture.
